The Appleseed Cast hails from Lawrence, KS. As I’m a Supernatural and Jericho fan, that information alone would have gotten me to listen to them. Thankfully, this band has more merit than where they’re from.
Two Conversations is a very good album, but I would only consider it an excellent introduction to the band. They are far too experimental and distinctive to fall into the mainly alternative/rock sound of this album. Songs like “The Fight Song” are paltry in comparison to their brilliance in Peregrine. Yet, were The Appleseed Cast to decide to become more radio-friendly, this is the album that would do it.
