New Single: “Night/Day” by Mae

Mae has a really great charity idea that they’ve implemented this year. For every month of 2009, Mae will release a song that can be purchased for a minimum of $1, with all proceeds going help build a house for Rhonda Floyd via Habitat for Humanity (they have $30,000 so far). This month’s song “Night/Day” is typical Mae in its elegant pop and feel-good lyrics. They’ve clearly got their mojo back, and owning the song is a must for any fan of the band.

As the debut album of the band Mae, it’s really sad how good this album is in comparison to their most recent Singularity. Destination: Beautiful might be as pop and feel-good as its title implies, but it’s obviously the more honest and comfortable fit for this band.
