This Florida band effectively blows you out of the water once you’ve heard this, their third album. Lead vocalist Stephen Christian’s unique voice, their lyrical genius, and the music give them an indefinable quality. These boys have found just what notes fit their lyrics and made them their own.
Anberlin really excels in its ‘slower’ songs, such as “The Unwinding Cable Car,” “Inevitable,” and “Uncanny.” But the faster and stronger “Godspeed” proves that whether their songs are stripped bare or layered as high as a tiered cake, Anberlin has crafted a masterpiece here that will last for years.
