I didn’t think much of Sugarcult since I heard Start Static. However annoying “Bouncing Off the Walls,” was, Tim Pagnotta’s voice has matured impressively since then. On some tracks, he reminds me of Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace, and on others he retains his familiar bratty voice.

The idea behind the entire record is a one-night stand and the pain/release/boredom inherent in such a situation, making the album more interesting. Some songs, such as “Riot” are a bit nonsensical, but they don’t detract from a musical soundscape that echoes of Tears for Fears and New Order.
